We’ve been talking about our highlights of 2010. Here at Sherry, it’s been the year of the Cheeky, the Boris Bike and the Swimathon. We’ve partied with Tom Jones at the MITs, cheered on England at the World Cup, dined on salad and chips from Whitecross Street market, welcomed a host of celebs to our studio for our Christmas Tombola and argued monumentally about our alphabetical playlists. We’ve even played celebrity cheese for much longer than is normal (the winners – Roger Chedderer and Dairy Lee Ryangles without a doubt). We’ll be thinking up some silly new ideas to occupy ourselves next year over the Christmas break, and we look forward to seeing you all in 2011!

After much lobbying, strong-arming, negotiating and general brown envelope action Sherry has felt more like a FIFA meeting than a design studio lately! But it’s all over now, the results are in and you have helped us craft the most stonking Ultimate Alphabetical Playlist ever! You’ve also managed to alter opinion so much that 13 of our original entries have been replaced with your suggestions – yes 13! Gomez have been shunted by Ms Jones, the Lemonheads had a rumble with Link Wray and Yeah Yeah Yeahs got a no. Many congrats to the 5 selected winners – Erwan, Marc, Paul, Renoir and Robb – top work guys! We’ll be in touch separately to arrange delivery of your exclusive prizes. After months of compiling individual playlists for each letter of the alphabet, we are proud to present to you our (interim) Ultimate Alphabetical Playlist. Here’s how we did it:

• We gave everyone at Sherry a letter of the alphabet.
• They then chose their favourite artist or band beginning with that letter.
• They then chose their favourite track by that act.
  

There have been some controversial choices and arguments, bribery and general skull-duggery have gone on throughout. So we are calling on you to iron out our in-house creases and help us polish the list for everyone’s shiny listening pleasure. Give us suggestions to ‘better a letter’ on our list and if we can agree (some hope!), your choice will be included in our final selection (to be published on Spotify Playlists) and we’ll also send you a Limited Edition Music Industry Trust 2010 Tom Jones tribute book and double CD of Tom’s favourite tracks, beautifully designed by… us! These are very special and we only have 5 to give away, so make sure your suggestions are killers not fillers, and make them quick! Man, we’re good to you!
