Athletics, Boxing, Rowing. These are not the true sports of Olympians. Building a tower of marshmallows, blowing a ping pong ball through a cardboard tube and eating a picnic (whilst sporting orange sweat bands), on the other hand… now we’re talking. We had an amazing time in Shoreditch Park yesterday evening displaying our skills in these ‘sports’ and winning medals and trophies to boot. Roll on London 2012, we can’t wait to see if our events have been included in the line up…

The BBC News website recently had a re-design. The new look has divided opinion and to date there are around 2000 comments on the BBC Editors’ Blog, a large majority of which seem to be negative.

I personally think its an improvement (although a tad similar to the CNN website). But what would the website look like if it had been designed by a 13 year old in 1996? (Click image below to view).

It’s not that we don’t enjoy Christmas here at Sherry, but when London’s yellowest department store announces it will start it’s Christmas trading on August 2nd it does make us wonder just a little. Especially when one of the wares it is flogging is a £500 life-size donkey! But with figures of 1,000 baubles sold in the second week of August last year, you have to think why don’t we just go the whole turkey and rename the Uk ‘Christmas Island’ and have done with it. I for one am embracing this Yule tide extension and will be down there painting my baubles before you can say Christmas pudding.

I bought my girlfriend a wooden leg for Christmas one year. It wasn’t her main present, just a stocking filler…
