Sherry created the logo for the FPAN, a charity founded to encourage donors and funders to take an interest in protecting and enhancing forests. We were asked to create a clean, corporate image, avoiding commonly used references to nature. They also wanted a text-based identity, which could easily switch between the acronym and the full name of the organisation. The rich purple was chosen to stand out against much of the inevitable green-based imagery, and to give FPAN the professional identity they required.
Building on the new brand, we were then commissioned to design FPAN’s first report. The culmination of nearly two years of desk and field research, it provides an introduction and guidance on protection and restoration of Africa’s tropical forest carbon and how donors and funders can engage most effectively. The document is for web-only, and so the architecture of the interactive navigation system was carefully considered to clearly steer the reader through the 340 pages of content.
