Spirit Nottingham brand identity and marketing strategy

The Nottingham cultural partnership represents the breadth and excellence of the city’s cultural offer. The members have a track record of bringing high quality content and entertainment to people from the city and surrounding area. Sherry, in partnership with Linstock Communications, were commissioned to develop a distinctive and sophisticated cultural brand and innovative marketing strategy. We took a close look at the city, its heritage, the cultural offers and the people. We found they all had one thing in common – a kind of spirit. A spirit of creativity, innovation, rebellion and artistic endeavour.
We have ultimately developed a fluid, layered identity system that allows the partnership to target sections of their audiences with appropriate streams of content. The identity and marketing campaign is being launched this week and is on display to the public on the streets, buses, trams and venues of Nottingham.
