Sherry has completed the production of The Kids’ Zone, an online space for children and young people. Following a competitive pitch in November 2010 Sherry was appointed by The Children’s Society to redevelop the site and liaised throughout the process with a steering group made up of young people who input and fed back on all aspects of the design and functionality.The new site is a forum for the young and encourages them to communicate about the issues that affect their lives, tell their stories, find advice, express their creativity and have fun.
The more serious side to the website features downloadable resources that can help children and young people deal with the variety of challenges that they can face on a daily basis, ranging from help with homework to coping with being a parent carer. The site also features games, polls and a space for young people to share and create their own content in a safe and monitored environment.
